How do i change the subforum view ?

I want to rearrange the subforum's like vbulletin style (details in attach)

Where can i modify the number of columns ? lets say i want to display in 2 columns not 3
Anymore modifications ?

Actually you don't have to replace anything but add it to your style:
ACP -> Appearance -> Styles -> List styles -> Edit style -> Advanced.

If you want to have 2 colums you have to change the value of width. For 2 items it is 50%.

Maybe it is called "Design" instead of "Appearance" in Burning Board 3. It is the third list item on the left in the ACP.

Yes you have to. You should never edit files directly in the file system.

As soon as you resave the style in the ACP the file will be overwritten. This is the reason why you should save it in the ACP.
